Hazing

Suspects of an alleged hazing and their victims show the police their legs to distinguish themselves.  Police picked up 11 members of the Tau Gamma Fraternity from a house in Purok 3, Barangay Camputhaw, Cebu City early this morning after reports of a commotion.  The victims, a 17-year-old dropout and Joe Pernites, 20, a university student, showed the police the injury at the back of their thighs.  The 11 fraternity members, who maintain that they had no hand in the alleged hazing, said they were surprised to see the injuries.  They told reporters that the two victims merely showed up in the house where they were hanging out, reportedly to wait for someone.  A few minutes later, they said the police arrived and brought them to the Fuente Police Station.  The two victims are refusing to file a complaint against the 11 so the fraternity members, who have been held at the Fuente police, may be released later today.
