Tangub’s Sinanduloy Troupe

Tangub City’s Sinanduloy Cultural Troupe, whose performance is one of the most awaited in recent Sinulog festivals, took second place in the Sinulog-based category this year. The dancers were in Filipiniana costumes and their props included a large ship called the SS Corregidor and a backdrop which unfolded into a painting of the old downtown Cebu City. Tangub was the 2011 champion in Sinulog-based category. This year, it’s the Culturang Placereño of Placer, Masbate that took the crown. See SnipCebu’s photo of Culturang Placereño’s performance here.

we did our best,.only the judges will decide on our performance and sinanduloy respected it,…pit señor——nice amo candle but mas nice sya if only the lights were dim so na emphasize amo highlights-the candle na mosiga
yes…. terribly right if the light is just dim or even not a full blast light our candles will do its surprise… but sad to say “maybe it’s not for us”
2012 was my first Sinulog experience… and i went because i saw the youtube video of your 2011 performance… and when i finally saw your group, it was THE HIGHLIGHT of the cultural aspect of my Sinulog weekend… it’s not about you winning first or second or nothing at all… it’s about the many hearts you have touched by your performance… that is the real triumph… because they (me included) will talk about you many times over… and will come back to watch you again and again and again… no trophy can compare to that… keep it up!!!… i will be in Sinulog 2013 to see you again!!!
