Damaged By Waves
Soldiers in the Talisay Beach Landing Memorial in Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City look like they’re trying to escape from the destruction of war. Like many seawalls and houses in coastal barangays in Talisay, the monument has not been spared from the onslaught of strong waves as a side effect of Typhoon Gener hitting the northern part of the country. As of 10 am today, Gener was 210 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes bringing winds with a gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday morning.
