Morning Robbery

Members of Cebu City’s SWAT Team surround a pension house in R. Landon St., Cebu City after a motorcycle allegedly used by a suspect in a robbery this morning was found abandoned. Shiloh Bonya, a 20-year-old foreign student of dentistry at the Southwestern University, was walking along Urgello St., Barangay Sambag I, Cebu City at past 9:30 am today when a man in a motorcycle grabbed her cellphone. Bonya decided to fight for it and held on, causing her to be dragged a few meters. Bonya suffered scrapes and wounds and was taken to the hospital for treatment while the suspect fled. Later this morning, the police was tipped that the motorcycle was seen parked outside this pension house. When they asked the security guard on duty if he saw the suspect, the guard said he didn’t. The police then reviewed the footage captured in the security cameras and saw that the guard actually talked to the suspect. The police immediately arrested the guard who will be questioned about the incident.
