Akrho Turns 39
There was a time when the sight of Akrho members gathered together sowed fear among Cebuanos. But not anymore. They have successfully cleaned up their acts and have partnered with the police to ensure that no more fraternity rivalry-related incidents involve them and their members. Today truckloads of Akrho members gathered at Cebu City’s South Road Properties, as they do every August 8, to celebrate their anniversary. Akrho turns 39 today.

so true!!! it was a sunny day that day and was excited to join the caravan as i always do for the last years..cant hitch a ride going to SRP after my duty in a bpo company..so i rode a taxi, had a conversation with this driver.while approaching the venue SUGBO,i can obviously view some brothers and sisters clogging the area and celebrating to their own tunes of music under the heat of the sun…Manong driver said turning his head on me at the backseat,” Akrho diay ka?”, and i replied, “kaayo noy”. I ddnt waste the time to ask his opinion about rivalries and killings and frat issues. He simply said, its up to the leaders but each one is responsible for their own acts, just like a family, just like a country. jst like the current city governor….I was like,,,owkie! at least i came across with an intelligent individual who has an open mind. Aware of his surroundings and dont just sarcastically will comment on every after news he heard. He listen, He understand before he say something on it…i said “ayo ayo to him after”and he said padayun sa imong tumong, padayun mo sa pagtabang nga mahapsay ang subgo..
